Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and hopefully I'm posting this in the right area. I'm currently an LVN in Ca and looking into a 1 year LVN-RN on-line program based out of Fl. The name of the school is called International College of Health Sciences based out of Boyton Beach, Fl. I was just wondering if anyone here has had some experiences in dealing with this school, currently attending, or could provide any insight into the program. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
Hi,
I don’t know who your advisor is, but I have been in contact with mine on a daily basis. Ask to switch advisors.
As for as transferring credits, I’m not sure other than the regular prerequisites. Yes there are 2 essays and one questionnaire, fairly simple just a little time consuming.
Call the number, wait for the operator (do not push 2 or 3 for that man) and wait for the live rep to answer then she will guide you to the correct person. Good luck ?
I've had good response feedback from ichs, at the beginning when I was enrolling myself it felt pretty stressful trying to reach enrollment staff. But afterwards all my emails were responded to pretty fast, most were within 24 hours or faster, if not it was the next day. If I couldn't reach them by phone I usually just leave a message and they call back within a few hours.
I passed my gap and well within my first semester of ichs and everything feels fast and smooth, next thing you know in only a few more months I'll be in nursing capstone and taking my NCLEX. So excited!

I asked them about this last week, but was told it's not possible due to BRN requirements. What "support" did you speak to about this? The FL or CA BRN? This would be amazing.
Future,
Skip: Semester 1, straight into Medsurg.

Like I mentioned, it’s in the works so therefore may or may or work. Nothing is set in stone yet.
@Astarion, LPN Congrats on passing your gap exam!! Must feel great to save time and money by skipping a semester!
May I ask what study material do you recommend? Was the exam HESI or ATI style? Were the 160 questions all mixed up switching between pharmacology questions then fund of nursing or we’re they 2 separate exams? I’ve been out of school for a long time and I’m soooo nervous. ?

The response time from anyone at ichs absolutely sucks...Look into Nightingale College
