Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and hopefully I'm posting this in the right area. I'm currently an LVN in Ca and looking into a 1 year LVN-RN on-line program based out of Fl. The name of the school is called International College of Health Sciences based out of Boyton Beach, Fl. I was just wondering if anyone here has had some experiences in dealing with this school, currently attending, or could provide any insight into the program. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
Just want to give you hint when your in college. When your in college, basically your on your own. Your not in high school anymore that your teacher will provide you an study guide or pointers to review. Some instructors are terror no considerations. I went to ICHS last year of June, took Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology with Laboratories and graduated July 2020 and practicing RN now here in California. I was basically on my own, only have lectures once a week via zoom. I don’t have problem with that. I am monitoring my emails, checking for any updates, logging-on in my dashboard making sure all my homeworks submitted ontime. Always answering questions on ATI. I passed all my courses including greenlight and passed CFPE and most of all PASSED NCLEX.
Hi,
Wow! So it can be endorsed over to California? That was my main concern. What about with Covid now? How are the rounds being done?
I am planning on registering, would you have any pointers? Left over books? Etc (I could purchase)
Let me know!!

if u are really interested in coming to this school its not gonna be what you expect. U get thrown many chapters you are responsible for the material there is no study guide. And there is no more ATI exams its all thru sherpath now way different from ATI. And clinicals there is none at this time due to covid. My understanding abo clinicals is that they are all done in nursing homes ? learn this a little to late. No hospital setting. Its a little frustrating. But everyone is different this might be for some and not for others.
good luck!
At first I was promise to finished the program for 15months LVN to RN. Since I need to take A&P and Microbiology that’s another 3 months so, basically it suppose to be 18months. because of the pandemic the school offered an accelerated test to expedite the graduation. If you pass the accelerated test they will put you on nursing capstone. And there were 2 groups, group A which who passed the maximum passing score and group B for those who got the minimum passing score. I was on group A which puts me on Nursing Capstone VATI which gives me 30 days only to complete everything plus review for the Comprehensive Exit Exam. I tell you it’s not easy. But I was very determined I study hard as hell, plus I have two jobs to take care because if not, my family will be homeless. I study whenever got home from my 12hrs duty. I study from 8:30pm to 1:30am and wakes-up at 5am to go to work. While I am at work, when downtime I do few of my homework thru my phone. Going to school with family plus two works it is extremely difficult. But if your single, not working and young I think that is a plus.
Thank you for the reply. I have a very supportive family to help out. Blessed to not have any bills other than my Tesla.
I was just concerned about the endorsement to California, being that the BON here is quite strict.
Schools here in the BayArea are ridiculously expensive with so much competition. I think this School may work out without the waitlist etc.
I have taken all my prerequisites already, even for a BSN. I may apply this Feb ?
