International College of Health Sciences

Updated:   Published

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here and hopefully I'm posting this in the right area. I'm currently an LVN in Ca and looking into a 1 year LVN-RN on-line program based out of Fl. The name of the school is called International College of Health Sciences based out of Boyton Beach, Fl. I was just wondering if anyone here has had some experiences in dealing with this school, currently attending, or could provide any insight into the program. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

The school has to give you a code to input when you go under tests. My old HESI's where there too from lvn school. But gap didn't show until the school gives you the code. I got my code from Ms Flint.

Okay got it. Thank you

Hi, I wanted to know the current situation with clinicals with the program, is anyone in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th semester currently and are able to do their clinical rotations in florida without problems? I called admissions and was told that all clinical location sites are currently not allowing students to do their rotations. How are you completing your sememsters without being able to do your clinicals if that were the case? Is that true or should I get more information from more faculty? I am planning on starting my classes on 11/30 and would be terrified if I am not able to move to the next semester and would be stuck waiting.

Thank you and if anyone else here is in the same boat with the same questions or starting on 11/30 please email me [email protected] so we can help each other gain information on the program together.

Thank you for responding! Well I know the current status of this terrible virus is temporarily halting many things. I hope we can all safely do our clinicals soon.

Hello,

I graduated from ICHS and is a licensed practicing RN in California. ICHS is a private school; it is online but clinicals is done in Florida. Online school is harder than the actual traditional colleges and Universities. More work load is involved. As LVN, you can try and take the competency test for FON. If you pass then you have 15 months to finish the program. Once you successfully pass the Florida NCLEX, you can endorse to California. BON in California accepts ICHS grad. You will not encounter any problems as long as you pass the entire course.

I am taking capstone right now and from CA as well. Great to hear from another student who graduated from ICHS. How long does it take you to endorse your license to CA?

I took about 3 weeks because I paid an extra $100 to rush a temporary license. But to endorse to California, you need to do the same background check and submit your credentials to the BON before they start processing

Thank you so much for posting. Did you have to fly out to Florida to take the NCLEX or did they allow you to take it in CA for the state of Florida?

Thank you so much for this post. This makes me feel so much better about the school and CONGRATULATIONS ?
