Any current/past intern chime in on pay scale for Baylor interns?
Does it fluctuate on floor or experience?
Just curious.
Thanks!

24.25 across the board for all new grad GN Interns. To get any medical coverage, you have to use their docs in the Baylor network. They will let you begin the internship with just a GN Nurse License, but you must have passed NCLEX before the end. They will give you 850 bonus towards NCLEX, but this turns out to be around 450 take-home after taxes. You will also get paid for an 8 hr day when you take your NCLEX. Pay is low for the area and for how challenging the internship is, but they have other work-life balance perks that help balance it out, so you've gotta decide which is important for you. You will learn a lot in their internship, and depending on what floor you get and how helpful and engaged they are. They have a good education department.

Do you know if GNs get shift diff?

Thanks for feedback. Since my wife was already working as a nurse, she got regular nurse pay (MUCH higher than $24.25). I couldn't believe when she told me the rate. Wife is already an RN and just got her BSN.
She accepted the GN internship and is excited how thorough it is.
