interested in studying in athabascau

hello there, I am also interested in studying in athabascau, i saw in their requirements on post lpn to bscn that you should have 1700hours of rpn/Lpn experience in order to get admission,my question is my experience is in ontario working as rpn would they count that and accept me?

As long as you meet the 1700 hours, they should. A RPN in Ontario is equivalent to a RPN/ LPN in other provinces. If anything, Ontario has the highest standards for RPNs/RNs in Canada haha.

You could always email the program coordinator to verify.

Step 1: learn to spell the name of the school you want to attend

Alberta standards are pretty high as is the scope of practice. Athabasca is the only route open for LPNs in Alberta to bridge

Hey there, Canadian RN is correct, but you must remember, this is a online only course. Some may take that with a grain of salt until they actually start doing their course online of the pressure you have to endure. Another thing is that the labs take place in Alberta, so you must go there to attend it. I would suggest for anyone like myself if you want to pressure your RN from RPN, do it in a in class setting, check outside of Ontario, i'm sure that Athabasca is not the only one available. Tell me your findings, i'd love to hear back!
