Has anyone ever heard of a medically fragile child getting PD nurses on private Insurance? Child has been denied Medicaid.

I've worked on cases where the client was on their parent's private insurance. That is why the pay was so good.

It's happened. Most states have a waiver if the child is truly medically complex and would require nursing care or be institutionalized.

I have had kids that have both - medicaid was secondary to the private insurance.

Yes, if their insurance covers private duty nursing.
