Information on CSU Pueblo?

Published

I know there are many posts exactly like mine, but if anyone could give me their opinion or advice, I would deeply appreciate it.

Currently, I am looking into different nursing schools around the Colorado area; primarily Pueblo. I looked at the CSU-Pueblo Traditional BSN program and am wondering if anyone has gone or is currently going here? I am just wondering what was the entrance process like? Is it more or less competitive than other Colorado schools (based on your experiences?) Which entrance test did it require, the HESI or TEAS? How rigorous are the pre-reqs? Are their online courses available for some of the pre-reqs?

Any general information you can give would be awesome. I am desperately seeking a low cost BSN program and I think CSU would be perfect for me, but I would love to hear first hand reviews from people who have actually gone to this school (or know of others who have gone here.)

Hey are you still looking into this? I got in.

I am accepted to CSU-pueblo on Jan, 2014 too. I am also from WA, and I have already prepare for that. Are you accepted into Basic BSN? Did you take pathophysiology class? I have not taken it though. They ask me have to take this class before enrolling into the nursing program. Would you please recommend where I am able to take this course?

Thanks

I am accepted to CSU-pueblo on Jan, 2014 too. I am from Ca, and Are you accepted into Basic BSN? I am taking pathophysiology class right now because they said I have to take it before the classes start though. The class will start on Oct 22 @ Merritt College Oakland, Ca. So I am ready to take it. But does anyone now how the system of NP in CSU works?

Hi everyone I'm from Washington State also and I'm taking the pathophysiology class online for the BSN program starting January 2014. I'll be moving from Washington to Pueblo CO and I'm trying to figure out what's the most affordable housing available there.

Also I'm hoping to land a CNA job at a hospital but if that doesn't work out I'll need to come up with some things fast.

Anyway if anyone wants to chat look me up on Facebook.

Hi, Samra.

Yep, I was accepted into Bsn January 2014. I am taking the last prerequisite pathophysiology at Portland community college. That class is tough though, and i am pressure on having a B grade unless They take my space. I am known that our program will take 2 1/2 years, 2 semesters / yrs, spring and fall. Nursing staff will register class for you.

How is patho class at Merritt College? Is it easy? How cost is so far?

Hi, altron

I am planing to move there on Jan. how is you patho class? Where do u talke it? Can u tell me how to arrive to Pueblo? I have checked for airlflights, but it is so complicated to logging.

Anyone taking the program add me on Facebook [email protected] I'm not on here a lot. I'll be driving from Washington State to Pueblo. I'm trying to find work there and what not.

I believe you only need a minimum of a C in the classes you have not already taken. Patho is fun and I'm taking it at butler cc online.

I just started a page for our class on Facebook. CSU-Pueblo BSN 2016

Hi everyone,

I sent my Basic BSN application last month to CSU-Pueblo. How long did you guys have to wait for their decision letter/email? I am hoping to get in the Spring 2020 cohort.

Thanks!
