I work at a Nursing Home facility in Florida and was wondering, can s resident that is on isolation for ESBL or MRSA have a roommate ❓ Also, can a resident that is on isolation for ESBL or MRSA be permitted to leave their room ❓

It all depends on your facility policy.  It may depend on where it is located - like if the ESBL is in the urine and they have a foley.  Often times two different roommates have the same infection.  There are many people walking around in society with these infections.  There is no reason to isolate them to their rooms.
