Hi Everybody!
Has anyone on here had any experience with the Indiana State University, LPN to BSN program that Brian is talking about?
I have been told that in order for me to keep my current position I have to get my RN.
I'm just looking at different options right now. There is a community college in my area that does the LPN/RN fast track program, but there is a waiting list and no guarantee that I would get in.

Since no one responded to my thread about the same place...I'll respond to yours.

I am talking to their admissions department. Here's what I know:

1)The program only has cooperative agreements with certain states - GA and TN are not on the list...but KY is.

2)Cost is the same for resident and non-resident at this point: $208/c.h.

3)You can only start in Spring or Fall

4)You arrange clinicals (local preceptor style with a BSN or higher). I was told that most people are doing it at their present place of employ.

I am going online today and filling out the application. I will post an update as the process moves along.

I am no stranger to distance education - having CLEP'd out or used DSST's in the military. I am also coming to this with a BA and MBA - I am actually pretty stoked at the opportunity to go back to school. I have been an LPN for six years (just got out of the Army) and it's time to step up.

Are you sure it's the same program? Sounds like the program at Deaconness instead.

Hello! Anyone knows if Illinois and Arizona State accept LPN to BSN degree from Indiana State University? I live in Illinois right now, but I will probably move to Tucson,AZ.Thanks

Probably not...if you're saying, "can I do the program in AZ". Clinicals are in done locally with partner states.

Just a follow-up to this question: it's only $208/ch if you enroll with Indiana State U. Did you go through The College Network - ? If so, they're charging you for whatever study guide services them. [Disclaimer: have nothing against The College Network - but don't see its utility for the discriminating student.]

so which states exactly do they have co-ops with? just wondeirng cause my hubby is in the army and we can get orders at anytime (we go back to TX in dec after i graduate from LPN program here in ohio) and not sure where we'll go to next, and i didn't want to do excelsior cause of the CPNE scares the heck out of me...thought ISU would be a great option if it's distance learning and then i coudl do the clinical portion ect where ever we end up...does that make sense?

Yes, it makes perfect sense. I don't think there is an agreement with Texas [...think states which border IN...].
