I knew I wasn't crazy LOL. I went to get the drug screen done at the LabCorp on Shadeland. I forgot to bring the orange paper with the address on it with me. But I was pretty sure the paper had said 7430 N Shadeland. So, I pulled into that building's lot and went inside. . . there was no mention of LabCorp on the directory. I was like, Huh? There happened to be a stack of new phone books on the floor in the lobby. So I looked it up in the phone book and it said 7440 was the number. So, I drove next door to that building and found the LabCorp in suite 208. Thought it was funny when I just came home and looked at the orange sheet and it DOES say 7430, and it says Suite 225!! Obviously the sheet has an old address. I wonder how many other people did what I did and went to 7430 first.

I had to wait 45 minutes to get the dumb screen done. If I would have arrived 40 min later I would have only had to wait for 5 min because after I got there, nobody else showed up so it's not like I would have had a longer line to wait in.

And what's with them not even asking if you have taken and prsescription or OTC drugs recently? I took a sinus medication this morning but she didn't ask and I didn't think to tell her until after I was driving home. Every drug test I've ever had before, they ask you that.

Me again LOL. I just noticed that the woman at LabCorp misspelled my first name as "Cjristine" instead of "Christine." I called and had to leave a message about it. I sure hope that doesn't screw something up. I don't think it will because my last name and SSN are correct. But, just something else to be concerned about LOL.

Thanks for the heads up on the address! Looking for the place and then waiting that long for the screen had to stink. I drink a lot of soda and I am not sure I could have waited that long to "go"

This process is very nerve wracking for sure!

Wow, Chris---Or should I say, "Cjris" ---you definitely take the cake for the crappiest trip to the drug testing lab! haha! Glad you posted the right address b/c I would definitely have gone to the wrong place! Going to get a good night's sleep so I will be at my best when I stalk Campus Connect ALL day tomorrow

Could anyone tell me more about the LPN to ASN transition (aside from info I can read on the website) or point me in the direction of someone who can answer my questions? I thought once I got into the program, the nursing people would be more available to answer some questions...but I swear it's like pulling teeth! I'm really frustrated! Anything would be helpful

Sunny, have you looked for a thread about the transition program on here? There are a lot of Ivy Tech students on here, it seems, so perhaps someone has already posted info. I honestly wasn't listening to much about that option during orientation, nor did I read much about it. I was so focused on the traditional program, so I am afraid I don't have any info that you couldn't already gather from the site. I'm sorry. If you have a specific question, though, you might post it and see if people can help answer it. You could also go into the nursing office sometime and wait for someone who's available to talk to you, or perhaps you could stay after your orientation and get some one-on-one time with the program chairs for a few minutes? Good luck---I know it's so frustrating to have so many questions and not enough answers! Hang in there!

I almost forgot--My schedule is posted! I'm in the A1 group and my clinicals are at Hancock. The schedule seems pretty great and has Fridays off, so what can be better?! haha! Hope everyone else's schedules start rolling in!

Glad to hear you got your schedule AnneMarie!

You are on it Carlos! I got my bill today, does that count for anything?

Well Carlos it looks like I'll be hanging out with you. Got the B schedule with clinical at Hancock.

I wonder if they let people switch if you find someone willing to switch with you. Just curious. . . A guy in my class wanted T-Fri, and I wanted M-Th, and we both got the opposite. I don't know where his clinical is but I wonder if he would want to switch possibly, and if so, if they ever let people do that.

    Love the violin dude!

Nah, it's about my son's music class on Fridays after school.

I went into the bookstore just to look at scrubs today. They don't have an area to try them on. The girl said they accept returns if you take them home and they don't fit. I didn't buy any yet though. I asked about the little clip thingy that they said at the orientation had to be green (for holding the ID card). The bookstore doesn't have any yet (just have plain white ones right now) but they are expecting an order of them to come in before classes start.
