Indiana LPN question?

  1. Hey all, I am hoping someone can help answer this question...

I graduate LPN school in December. Will I be able to work as a graduate nurse until I take boards? Someone was telling me that is only allowed if you are a RN grad.

    Thanks in advance!

I think GN only applies to RN

You can work as a GN after LPN graduation, I did, and the new LPN class that just graduated in August did until they passed their boards. Actually if I remember correctly it is a GPN

GPN is for LPN (if the facility allows it, some don't) and GN is for RN (if facility allows, again-some don't). I checked this with our VP of Nursing and that was her answer.
