Hi All!
Today I submitted paperwork to change my registration for the NCLEX so it is associated with the Indiana BON instead of Illinois since I was offered a job in Indiana. My school said it was faster to change my BON to Indiana than to get the Illinois licence and then apply for the Indiana one by endorsement.
Today I sent in my application to the Indiana BON today and my school was also sending the certificate that confirms that I completed the nursing program and am eligible to sit for the NCLEX.
Does anyone know how long it actually takes for Indiana BON to process the app? The website says 4 weeks, then another 3 after that for the criminal background check? Does it really take that long? It only took about 2 weeks to get the ATT in Illinois after my school sent in the paperwork. The instructor at my school that helps with all the licensing stuff said it shouldn't take more than 5-10 days for the app to be processed in Indiana and have a new ATT. This contradicts the 4 weeks listed on the Indiana BON website.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I don't need my license for another 31 days (counting weekends), but I am afraid I won't have it by then. I am hoping because I am submitting the application at an off-time of year (May graduates have already completed their apps long ago unless they failed the NCLEX the first time), it goes pretty fast.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

From the time the BON has your payment to Pearson on file, your 50 app fee to them, records of grad and fingerprints its within 24 hours that your ATT will be available online and an email should be sent to you. Oh and side note - fingerprints take 24 hours to process.
