In at UMass Boston

Acceptance # 2 came today. I am in at Umass Boston. Now I have a choice. Waiting to hear from my top and third choice and then can get myself fset or next year. Woo Hoo!! Any other UMass folks out there?

i graduated from umass boston! yay! pretty run-down school facility but clinicals at the best hospitals in boston (i was at MGH, BWH, Childrens', McLean, BIDMC). i loved my clinicals and had an overall positive experience there. passed my boards in 75 questions the first time around.

and i don't have student loan debt either. that may not seem like a big deal when you're young and just starting school, but believe me, when you're a few years out and thinking of condos and such (esp. with the boston real-estate market) it is huge. good luck whatever you decide.

How long ago did you graduate? THe clinical component/cost is why I applied. I loved the faculty member I met at Massasoit and even more in love with that cost, but because I am leaning towards peds, that is the only negative there. The Peds rotation is not so good. Are you working in Boston? Can you give me the lowdown on some of the hospitals? I am on the South Shore, but very interested in BWH (NICU), Children's and MGH.

Did you ever decide where you are going in the fall. I will be going to Umass Boston if you are still interested. Unfortunately I did not have much luck with my other schools. :crying2: Not that I am unhappy that I got into UMB (I am estatic), but I live on the cape and will be commuting... But, I did hear that the clinicals were amazing so the long haul back and fourth will be well worth it. I am so excited right now that I think that I am obsessed with this whole nursing thing. I have advising on Tues. so I should be able to get my schedule together then. Maybe, if i'm lucky I'll see you at UMB. Good luck with your last school if you haven't heard back yet.
