I am getting ready to start FNP school in the Fall :-) I am EXCITED!!! Ready to DO THIS! :-)
One of my biggest complaints right now as a nurse is being stuck in the hospital for long periods of time. I get claustrophobic between those 4 walls! I need to be FREE to move about :-)
So I imagine myself as an RN working in hospice admissions or maybe home infusions or some such role. (I keep thinking of quitting and applying for one of these roles. Grass is greener syndrome or worth a shot?)
Does this translate as a nurse practitioner?
QUESTION: What sort of roles/clinical experiences should I seek out that will lead me to maximum flexibility? Meaning I wouldn't be stuck in a hospital or clinic.
I am not afraid of hard work - but I have A.D.H.D and staying in one place makes me a little crazy.
