Hi,

edit: I found the information I was looking for here: https://allnurses.com/alaska-nursing/work-in-alaska-652479.html thanks!

I'm working in the interior and am starting to wonder if maybe I will stay in Alaska when my contract is done.

I'm curious to see if any Alaska nurses are on here much. I haven't stalked the forums but, it seems that most threads in this one are from us out of state folks.

Anyone have time to comment on the current RN demands and life here?

Thanks,

Jen

I live in Fairbanks and love the state.

There are a few of us on AN, but most keep a pretty low profile (except me and AKnottedyarn who is no longer in AK).

Hi,

Nice to read you neighbor. :)

I just finally rented a dry cabin and am becoming a fan of this state, more than I expected I would. Not sure about my current work climate but, that is a side bar.

How are the hospitals or clinics nearer to Anchorage?

Thank you,

Jen

I've lived in Alaska for the majority of my life. I love it there. Unfortunately, not quite a nurse yet and have not worked in any hospitals in Anchorage. So I have no advice, but I wanted to say hi :)
