Impatiently waiting

Published

I passed my NCLEX a little over a month ago and have been impatiently waiting to get an interview. I have applied in the ICU at a hospital where I had my critical care clinical rotation. To make things a little better for me, I have had two RN's on that floor put in a good word to the unit manager (one was my clinical instructor). When I spoke with my previous clinical instructor last week she told me that the unit manager was very interested in interviewing me and I would be getting a call soon from her. So far no phone call. Part of me wants to reach out to their HR department again a restate my interest, at the same time I don't want to be a stalker.

I'm just getting really tired of waiting.

So do I call? or just leave it alone and wait?

Call. Otherwise you'll have no idea what's going on!

I think I will, I'm just trying to find the fine line between stalking and very interested.

Nowadays, any job worth having is a job worth stalking.

This philosophy should not be applied to significant others.

That is hilarious, and totally true. I want this job in the worst way, so I'm just trying to do everything in my power to get it.

Update!

So I called HR and they said they would call the Unit manager and speak with them. But ultimately I would hear from the manager, but when I spoke to my old nursing instructor (who is an RN on the floor) she said HR would contact me. Now i'm even more confused. Do I call HR again maybe tomorrow to see if they were able to touch base with the manager? I'm so confused
