My exam date is coming close and I'm thinking about moving the date a lil ahead cuz I'm not even half way done with the cd yet n the exam is in another 15 more days!!
I have been doing questions on saunders cd but I still feel like I wont make it. I'm really scarred.
I hope saunders is enough to get me through NCLEX the beast.

I'm scared of taking it too! I finally booked a date for July 8, when I really wanted July 2, but waited too long. Now, I have no choice. The date is booked and I WILL pass this test! God has my back! You WILL pass as well!
Thanks. I'm not even half way done with the cd yet so hopefully I'll finish it up by exnd of next month n take the exam. Goodluck.
BTW- r u testing for lvn or RN?

If you are not prepared it is better to delay the test, than to take it and fail. Just don't continue putting it off. Sooner or later you have to take it. Good luck.

I'm taking NCLEX-RN. I've already completed my Qbank in Kaplan and I do 150-200 questions a day and have been since I graduated in May.

i will say know the content specially infection control, for example pt with mrsa will have wat kind of isolation and protective gears. do priority and sata questions, i also moved the date but that was not worth so just take it.
best of luck!!!!!!!!!!1

I also heard there were a lot of contact precaution and infection control q's. I take mine July 6th and only started studying hard core about 2 weeks ago. Saunders is good, I also use NCLEX 3500. It's free online. I like the q's from there bc the answers aren't as obvious as the Saunders CD. Good Luck! We will be nurses soon!

No matter what others say you have to take it whnen you feel comfortable. I got my ATT in Dec 2008 and I just took it this thursday. I rescheduled 6 times before I was just tired of waiting and studying. I told myself that if i failed I would just pick myself up and do it again.Yes I would have been discouraged but what can I say. As I have said in other post I had a lot of Infection control( what do you wear in the room , what type of room do you put this pt in, who will they room with) along with drug s/e( that I didnt feel I knew),teaching, non descript diseases like pheochromocytoma( I was like huh and was SO MAD when I looked it up and it was an endocrine disease closely related to cushing's:crying2::angryfire why didnt I know that.....well because you cant know it all. All you can do is critically think what is best for your pt.That is all that matters. I only studied 3 days a week and did as many Q's as I could stand( which wasnt many.Maybe 50-70Qs, 100 on a great day! This is just how I study. I made sure that I understood and disease that I felt I was lacking basic drugs and such. My prob areas were OB, diabetes (1,2 insipidus) endocrine, peds and math.
Do what works for you, ok. It is your money coming out of your pocket. Dont let people give the old" if you dont know it by now, then you wont know it just take it now speech". DO IT WHEN YOU FEEL PRETTY COMFORTABLE BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER FEEL 100% READY, AND YOU WILL MOST LIKELY COME OUT THINKING YOU FAILED! BUT FEAR NOT WE HAVE STOOD THERE FEELING LIKE FAILURES.tHIS TOO SHALL PASS.
GOOD LUCK
