Finally gave up trying to work with my essential tremor - it had gotten bad enough that it is hard for me to write, and I would get muscle cramps up my arm from trying to hold a pen still - I can't do catheters anymore or carry liquid meds, and trying to do a blood sugar was becoming a trial.
My doctors had been after me for a long time to apply for disability, but I just didn't want to go that route.
But enough is enough - so I gave notice, and was done the end of May. Thought I'd miss it, but all I have to do is come here and spend awhile!

Well, I'm sorry about the medical problems leading up to it, but I certainly hope you enjoy your time off, you lady of leisure

Hey, being retired is better than being unemployed! If only you could fix your medical problem. Why don't you try for disability? You deserve it. There are so many people who take advantage of that. But in your case, you would be working, if not for your disability. Your doctor supports you. All they can say is no. Good luck with your retirement!

I did decide to go for the disability - it's a tiring process, and I've just begun.
Thanks everyone.
