Hi! I'm new here, I am in my 3rd semester of my BSN program.
I'm currently in A&P. I have a low 60 in both lec & lab, and I need a 77 to stay in the program which is a longshot, but nearly impossible. I will have to score at least a 90 on everything including the finals, but my lab prof told me that she hasn't seen more than 2 people a year get A's on the lecture professor's exam. So I have very little confidence.
I realized that my problem was that I didn't study. and I'm really kicking myself now, but it happened and I only hurt myself.
My issue is that we are allowed one withdrawl and one repeat fail in the first 2 years. I withdrew from psych last year bc my grandfather's funeral was on a test day and the prof wouldn't let me miss the exam. When I discussed the matter with the dean of nursing, she was almost mad at me for telling her that because I shouldn't have withdrawn. but whatever.
I'm failing both lec & lab. I can't withdraw bc I used it already. I can't repeat-fail because I'm failing both, and as per the major, I can only RF once. So I'm screwed.
My professor suggested that I change my major, withdraw from the class, and transfer next semester with a W grade instead of an F and retake the course at community college. She also suggested I just change my major and be happy with it, but i don't see myself being happy anywhere else. (WITHDRAWL DEADLINE IS TOMORROW).
Another idea I have is to get my RN, then transfer into an RN-BSN eventually.
I'm so established at my school- I'm a manager at my job, I'm pledging greek life, and I already have my friends here. But I know school comes first. So I'm lost
If anyone had a similar situation or has any suggestions, PLEASE SHARE! I can't process all this in 18 hours. I'm scared. I'm nervous. I'm done.

Hi there,
My grades in A&P are so up and down! They're def. not linear! I've made everything from A's - yes! A few F's unfortunately. It's a tough class for all of us. There's nothing so simplex about it . . . AT ALL! Like you, I'm not sure what to expect from this class as an average. I have to get a 77 or better at my college to proceed on in nursing.
DO NOT CHANGE YOUR MAJOR! Don't give up! I've heard sooooooooo many professors tell students to change their majors. Many stay the course anyways and get through it!
Do you have any more exams coming up? We still have two remaining. Maybe you should work extra hard, study and you'll get that 77.
Heck, I'm not even sure I can get my 77 or better. HOPEFULLY!
One thing is for sure, don't give up!!!!!
I literally just decided to change my major loool. Like 10 mins ago.... I can't drop the course unless I change majors. I'm going to do animal medicine instead of human and see. I wanted to do animal medicine since I was a kid and I think this is a wake up call. I'm going to try for a pre vet program or zoology or something. I'm sad that I have to do this, but you gotta do what you gotta do best of luck in your program!!!! I'm sure you'll do great :)
