If you were accepted at two nursing schools, which is closer to your home? Which has clinicals at facilities that are closer to your home? What are the days and hours of class? Are there other factors that will affect you positive or negative? Make a list of the pros and cons, then choose. Or you can flip a coin. Congratulations on getting two spots in an area where there are so many trying to get in. Good luck with your decision.

you are going to be exposed to a lot more unusual clinical cases in the lac/usc county system because it is a larger tertiary care center than pasadena. i went to a small school in a rural area and looking back i would recommend a taking clinicals in a large medical center like lac/usc county over pasadena medical center any day. although, you could call over to pasadena and ask them where they do their clinicals. they may have some affiliation with lac/usc, but i doubt it. something that always bothers me about pasadena is that it is difficult to find a parking space and parking is never free there.

LA-USC. I've heard its a little bit more of a hardcore experience from classmates that did their clinical there.

Hello there! I am also an LVN in the Los Angeles area and ready to apply into the RN program. I will be applying to the LAC + USC Nursing program this November 2009 for the Summer 2010 bridge. Was it hard to get accepted into the program? Are there any pointers you can give me to better my chances? Thanks for your help! :)

I think LA-USC is based primarily on prereq grades and entrance test scores.
