Anybody attending WCC or going to be applying there? I'm on track to apply for the Spring nursing program. First I have to take the PAX on July 6 and keep my fingers crossed that I pass!

Once I transferred my courses to WCC, they told me I have to retake A&P 1 since there wasn't a cadaver used. Other than that I will have all of the requirements plus a "B: in Micro. I graduate May 2014 in the Nursing transfer program but I am thinking of applying to both WCC and AU. Has anyone had any experience with the application process? Which is more challenging the TEAS-V or the PAX-RN?

I have not taken the PAX-RN, I did take the TEAS for Aurora earlier this year and didn't think the test was bad at all. The science was a little hard if I remember right.

People I've talked to that have taken both have said the PAX is more challenging. Most people I know still pass - the one friend I can think of that failed did study, but unfortunately test taking isn't really her strength.

I didn't apply to WCC, I did my prereqs there and applied to AU and NIU. The AU application process wasn't bad. The day of the TEAS you also fill out some essay questions for them, but they were pretty straightforward. Pathophysiology is one of the classes first semester but can optionally be taken ahead of time if you are done with A&P II already. Some people took it over the summer before the semester started. At least on our set of questions, they ask you when you plan to take patho so that's something to think about in advance!

Did you get into the program yet?

This was a long time ago, sorry for the delay. No I didn't do the program. I got cold feet and did medical assisting program instead. I'm a CMA at a clinic but really wish I would've gone with nursing.

I'm looking back into WCC's program but just don't know if I can do it because of work. How was your experience???
