Nursing vs physician assistant role

  1. Here's a question that I hope I can get a honest response without everyone getting up set. I'm about to become a LPN and wondering should I finish with a RN or pursue Physician assistant. My interest are in surgery, I also understand their are two different models of practice. But career rise whats the true difference between a NP and PA. Any help and constructive criticism appreciated

Keep in mind that many PA and NP programs are moving toward MS degrees and requiring a BA/BS and certain prerequisites prior to admission (often biochemistry, micro, etc). I know some people who have gone on to earn four-year degrees in nursing who then applied to PA school. This would leave your options open to NP programs as well.
