Hey everyone i am a student at NIU and was just wondering if there are any NIU nursing students on here, and if you could posissbly tell me about your experiences in the nursing program at NIU. Also i was wondering if any of you could tell me what kind of chance i have of getting into the program. I have just applied for Fall of 2010 and i have a 3.75 in the pre-reqs and a 3.5 gpa overall. Any comments are much apprieciated.

Just wonder if you'll please post whether you get in or not...as someone I know will be applying next year, and we're wondering the same thing.

i applied as well but still keeping my fingers crossed.i can really say what my exact gpa is because i transferred from texas and i am nt sure of the classes that will transfer but on my transcript from texas is 3.91 overall and 4.0 prequisites but i repeated a n p 1,english 2,and phil ( i had c's but repeated them to make an A's).and from my school in texas.the reapeated classes were excluded from my gpa.

My reading score on the Accuplacer was 99.wat was reading score?

Just wonder if you'll please post whether you get in or not...as someone I know will be applying next year, and we're wondering the same thing.

got in

yes I was Accepted! I start fall of 2010! :)

Hello! I am taking classes at UIC this year and hoping to apply for the Fall 2011 Semester. The website said I need to have a min. of 5 courses done before Feb. 15th. Is it any prereqs courses or certain science courses? Also the AP 1/2 at UIC is for 2 semesters. So I will only have AP 1 done by the time of the deadline but will they still count it as a complete course?

According to the UIC website, 3 of 5 natural science courses - A&P I, A&P II, Micro, General Chem, and Organic Chem - must be completed prior to application submission.

I am unsure as to what Feb. 15th represents...application deadline for regular admission?

If you're registered for A&P I for the fall 2010 semester, then yes, you would be able to count that class as being completed.

Im sorry I didnt clarify I meant for the NIU program not UIC
