Illinois Nursing Program Advice

  1. I'm in desperate need of some seasoned advice! I'm currently a pre nursing student with aspirations of attending University of Illinois at Chicago's nursing program next fall. Although I have a 3.8 gpa and am a state certified emt, I'm still nervous about not getting into UIC's supposedly highly selective program. As I've started to look for schools in Chicago/Illinois beyond UIC, I can't find many that are nationally accredited and have two as opposed to four year programs :/ I have no desire to place all my eggs in my basket and would appreciate any advice on better nursing schools in Illinois that offer two year programs.
    Thanks!

I'd apply to Chamberlain as a back-up if I were you. The program is technically 3 years, but if you have all your pre-reqs done, it shouldn't take you much more than two years.
