Anyone have any info on this school? They are affiliated with Devry and the Addison campus. As far as I know, they open in July. I am looking to enroll. Thanks :)

I looked into this school once. It might still be an option for me. I am finishing up some pre-req's at COD and looking to transfer. I've applied at Lewis & have to take the entrance test first. If it doens't work out then I'll look into Chamberlain again. Good luck to you!!

I just applied and got accepted into chamberlain in Chicago for summer 2010. It only took a week to get a call saying that I was accepted, don't know if other people heard a response that quickly as well. I just graduated this spring from a big 10 college with a degree in nutrition. I had a 3.04 gpa with A's and B's in all of the gen ed's (A&P, english, math, soc, psyc, nutrition, chem, microbio). They require you to take an entrance exam also with a minimum score of 75% to be eligible for acceptance. The sections are math, grammar, vocab, reading comprehension, biology, chemistry and anatomy. The math and english sections weigh the most in your score so don't worry if you haven't taken the other courses. I got the study guide book (about $30) and studied that for 3 or 4 days before I took it and it really helped and had some of the exact questions on the test. I scored a 95% on it on my first try. They also require that you submit an essay via email just basically about why you want to be a nurse and your experiences. After being accepted you have to take a drug test and a background check ($150). Currently I'm gathering and submitting syllabi from classes I've taken for credit evaluation. If anyone has any other questions about the application process or the school feel free to shoot me a message and i'll try and help out!

Hello futureRNemily! I got a call two weeks after I sent my application in. I go to take my A2 test this Wednesday. I was wondering what is the next step after taking that exam? and did you get anything in the mail, cause I haven't? I was also wondering how many of your classes transferred. I have taken ethics, sociology, psychology, chemistry, microbiology, human anatomy 1&2, a computer class, a student success class and more. When I met with the adviser she told me all of them would transfer so I get to skip the first year...if you could answer any of these questions I would appreciate it! I am expected to start at the Arlington campus in the fall.

Hey guys, i'll b attending hondros school of nursing, and after my Rn, transferring over to chamberlain to get my bsn for the Rn-bsn course. I have only 12 credits from my previous institution before going to hondros, its almost as if im going straight out of high school. So if i want to get into the rn to bsn program at chamberlain, would there be any additional requirement? i mean i'll have my ADN from hondros when im done.

My ultimate goal is to go for crna, do you guys know of anyone that has graduated from chamberlain and got into a crna program?

thank you!!

kinsey2012 sorry it took soo long to respond. about 2 weeks after i took the a2 exam i got a call from my advisor saying that i was accepted and also got an acceptance letter about a week after that via snail mail. since i was starting this summer i went through the admissions process very quickly but after getting a call i set up a meeting that week to sign a bunch of papers, pay for drug screening and background check which we're done that day and also to go over my transfer credits and register for classes. the first time they said that only 5 of my courses transfered and would have to start off from the first semester. i gathered lots of course descriptions and syllabi to turn in and have my credits re-evaluated. in the end i ended up getting all of my gen ed classes transfered. my suggestion would be to start gathering and take with you syllabi from your classes and make sure that if you don't get credit for a class as for a specific reason so you make sure you're not having to pay for a class you already took! best of luck :)

I, too, applied and got accepted to Chamberlain's Chicago campus for Fall 2010. The HESI A2 was pretty decent and not too harsh, I second kinsey, since I had the same issues with credits transferring. I will be getting 2/3 semesters out of the way thanks to that, but I did have to give syllabi and do a reevaluation. Everything seemed to move pretty quickly for me as well. I'm pretty excited to start. They have a really new and nice SIM lab! Sheila was great! FutureRNemily, which big 10 school did you go to? I just graduated from Iowa...go hawks. :D
