Illinois CNA question

by Rockrose Rockrose (New) New

Sorry if I should have put this in the CNA/MA spot, but I figured since it's an Illinois specific question it would be ok here.

I am a CNA in California, and when I moved to Illinois I applied for reciprocity. I never heard back. I did however do a search and found my name listed in the Illinois registry. It states there is no background check on file. Under programs it says I'm deemed competent based on CA info, and then below Competency is a date, and the letter "R". Does this mean I'm ok to apply for CNA jobs now? Or is there something more I need to do?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

I think you're good to go, most employers look on the registry to verify your credentials.

But call them to make sure.

Sounds like you're good to go, I would start applying.
