If you will be taking the Nclex read this

Having taken the Nclex twice I know it is a very stressful event. The anxiety is so high when you are studying and higher when you are taking the test.

I really believe that the first time I took the test and failed had to with the fact that I was so nervous. Every time I would read a question and I did not know the answer (which was a lot) I would panic and my concentration was thrown off. After taking 265 questions that day I knew in my heart I did not pass. My gut feeling was confirmed when I got the letter in the mail saying in bold letters did NOT PASS.

I swore to myself that I would work on trying to keep my anxiety under control the next time I took the test.

I took the test for the second time on Monday June 5. On the way to the testing center I listened to a relaxing CD and pictured myself taking my test. I saw myself reading the question and if I did not know the answer I would close my eyes and take a deep breath and then narrow my questions down. When I got to the center I kept tellimg myself "I can do this". During the test I would answer a couple of questions and then take a couple of deep breaths and moved on. I also wrote on the pad they offer you "relax". I really think this helped me a lot.

Well I found out this morning that I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons:

I want to thank everyone in this site for all of their support and very kind words. I also want to say congradulations to my friend Amy D and to all that have passed. And to all of you who are going to take the test remember to relax and take your time and think positive and take deep breaths.
