Hi to all,
If there is already a post out there concerning this, I'm sorry.
The guy that wrote Tuesdays with Morrie and the Five People You Meet in Heaven has a new book out(His name is Mitch, can't remember his last name).
The book is entitled, "For One More Day" and it's the story of a man who gets to go back and relive his life and reconnect with his decreased mother.
If for one more day you had the chance to reconnect with a loved one that has passed, who would it be and why.

It is Mitch Albom......... and that book is wonderful!! One of the television stations is actually running a movie based on that book in the next few weeks. I will have to pay attention and post which one it is.
Both of my parents have died, so I would have to pick both of them. Just to be able to see them and let them see what I have accomplished. Especially my dad....he died when I was 13.

I'd have to say both sets of grandparents...
My Mom's parents both died before I was born so I never knew them. My Mom is an only child and I am all she has in regards to blood related family.
I did know my Dad's parents. They both died when I was a teenager. They lived about 4 hours away. As a kid, that seemed like "forever" away but now I realize it is not that far. I wish I had spent more time with them. It's that whole, if I knew then what I knew now thing. All the questions I would have asked and I would have spend less time being a selfish teen and gone to see them more often. Plus I know my grandmother would have been so proud to see that I became a nurse and the first one in the family to graduate from college.

I'd say my son who died at 18. Just to have that much more time with him. But I'm not sure I could stand to let him go again.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I was going to say my son, too, but I wasn't thinking about the agony of letting him go again. I don't think I could do that again.

My mom, whom I lost three years ago when I was 16. She was a certified medical assistant and I used to love listening to her stories and talking about anything and everything related to the medical field, I would love to just be able to tell her some of my stories now that I'm an LPN.

My Mom. I would love to introduce her to her gorgeous little great-grandsons born after she died far too young.
My girls were the light of her life; their children would have adored her and she would have gone nuts over them :)
