If they call for references..is this a good sign?

I interviewed for ICU at IU medical Center in Indianapolis on Friday May 20.. The nurse manager convinced me that I was in over my head for that position. She was convinced that I would do well on their med/surg floor and I agreed. She sent an email to the nurse recruiter, and I sent her a thank you email.

She told me to call the nurse recruiter if he didn't call me first. Before I had the chance, the hospital called me asking for my instructor's phone numbers to use as refernces.

So...is this a good sign?

Thanks!!

Any news yet? The hospital I am waiting for a response for called for references and my instructors from school told me they gave me excellent recommendations. Still haven't heard anythign a week and one day into it............goodluck

It's always a good sign when they actually check your references -- they wouldn't bother unless they consider you a serious candidate for the job. Good luck! :)
