Hi Guys,
I am currently reviewing at www.scottsenglish.com for my IELTS so far its been good... any other tips to improve my band score for the exam? And I know there are 2 types of exam the Academic and General test... which one should i take the General right?
As for the California application how many fingerprint cards should we submit? And do we send that together with the filled up application form? Or do we send the fingerprint card to another address?
How long would the processing take in cali?
For example you go to the US to take the NCLEX would the immigration take that against you? I am just afraid that because of the fingerprint card you submit they might be able to give out to the immigration that you are taking the nclex and might be denied entry to the US... would that really have an effect? I do not want to jeopardize my tourist visa if this would be the case...
Well these are my questions so far hope you can help me with this and thank you very much in advance.

As for the IELTS you need the Academic test. You need to get 7.0 for the spoken section and 6.5 for the others.
I've read IELTS Academic may be more difficult than TOEFL ibt.
You should submit one fingerprint card together with the application to the same address. But when you have your fingerprints taken by the police (or wherever), you'd better have two fingerprint cards taken. In case there is a problem with the one fingerprint card you have submitted you can always send the other one.
It's estimated that it takes 4-6 months for California Board to process your application, but this depends on whether you are the first applicant from your nursing school ever to have applied for California licensure and other things.
Your fingerprint submission to the california board should have nothing to do with immigration or your tourist visa.

The speaking section is usually considered easier with the IELTS, you are tested directly by a human and do not have to answer into a machine. That is usually where the problems come up.
