Ideal Score for Practice exam to get above a C

I have been studying and I am about to prepare to take Health Study. I wanted to know what is a good score on the practice exam to ensure that your ready for the real exam. I wanted to know. I heard so many different things. Trying to study so that I can retain the material, so that I can get a good enough score to pass.

It really doesn't correlate as much as people think. Meaning there are many people who pass a practice exam but then fail the actual exam. Use the practice exam as more of a study tool to pin point your weak areas, Then go over those weak areas until you have improved. When I first started excelsior I would study the practice exams like a bible and memorize everything word for word, well only 1 or two questions out of about 125 would be word for word or even similarly worded on the actual exam. Do the practice exams, read the rationales, study up on weak areas.

Thank you so very much. I am going to buy the practice exam this week. I have been studying the past month and wanted to know how I can further improve my ability to retain the information so that I can pass this exam. Again than you for the information.

How many questions are normally on these exams?

The practice exams are typically 100 questions each, and you get Form A and Form B for each practice exam. The number of questions on the actual exams are outlined in the exam content guide in the first couple of pages.

I wasn't sure if you were asking about practice exams or actual exams. :)

You should try to score at least a 70 percent!!! I'm not sure what the other person was saying but I dont think Ive ever seen wehre anyone has "passed" any of the practice exams or maybe just barely low 70 is the highest Ive seen because I was asking the same thing a few months back. I think they are harder than the real thing.
