It is absolutely unfair for ICHS to use the CFPE Exit exam as the 100% determining factor on if a student gets to graduate or not. Although, the school will back itself up saying that this is a standard practice, BUT IT IS NOT! and it Needs to Stop! Elsevier does not recommend any institution to use the Exit exam or any exam higher than 10-15%. (see the below site and information).

Many programs have reported a HESI exam weight of 10-15% with good outcomes. Higher grading percentages in the 40-75% ranges have been reported, however, based on the NLN guidelines this weight may be interpreted as excessive and can be considered not meeting the standard for fair and balanced grading across all assessments in a course or curriculum.
Making any exam, including the CFPE Exit a 100% of a students pass rate of a students entire nursing education is above and beyond an excessive factor and of unfair student practice!
In the 2022 ICHS Capstone students were thrown for a loop, because mid to end of the course , ICHS changed their required passing score from a 75% to a 78% and all because they wanted a higher probability that students will pass the NCLEX at first attempt due to their history of being on probation.
In 2022 ICHS reported that they had 1,469 students enrolled and only 300 graduated, which means they failed 1,169 students! This small percentage of student pass rate for any school, is shocking! (see pics attachment, public information ICHS on Probation for low NCLEX-RN pass rates and Annual Report with FLBON that was reported by ICHS).
ICHS should be ashamed of themselves and take responsibility for failing 1,169 students just in 2022 alone.
Please note that Schools are required to inform current students of being on probation, therefore if you attended ICHS in 2015,2016,2017, you should have been informed that they were on Probation. (visit the below site)

P.S. On the positive side, Know that we are not stopping with this petition, as FL. Governor De Santis and Florida Department of Education are well aware of ICHS and their use of utilizing the CFPE Exit Exam in a high stakes manner and a Bill in in the process, such as the states below.
Five BONs (AL, NV, NC, OR, and TX) prohibit high-stakes testing to prevent students from completing nursing programs when all other requirements have been met. (Hunsicker & Chitwood, 2018).
