Try to get your mind off it, at least for brief periods. Rent a funny movie. If you like crafts, find a project to work on. Buy a trashy novel. Do something for yourself that doesn't require you to contemplate NCLEX! Best wishes to you!

Look at the bright side,you will find out within a few days. We had to agonize for several months. Then if you didn't pass a certain area,you had to wait 6 months to retake it.

85% of the students pass the first time in the US. And all get 50% right and 50% wrong. Take a few days for yourself................

Have you checked on-line for your BON? Things will usually show up there before you get your letter.

You have got to stop doing this to yourself. Everytime somebody on this board says they got 75 questions what do you think? "Oh they passed" So think that about yourself, what makes you any different? You passed too. You have to claim it. I know exactly how you feel because I am exactly where you are right now (hence typing this post at 4 AM!), but let's just take some deep breaths and believe in ourselves. Just think if you failed at 75, you would have to so far below being "safe and effective" that there was just no hope for you which would mean you didn't learn a thing in nursing school or you just seriously freaked out. Now, you said our tests were real similar, well just so you know I took it with two classmates who also got 75 and we had alot of the same questions. Also, I got exact questions as some of those that other people said they got and those people passed. So please, please relax there is nothing we can do about it now, but I am sure you passed. I'm here if you need me.

Thanks. Actually, that does work really well, so it is good advice: rent a movie, especially a funny one. Because last night, the only peace I think I had was when we watched the movie we rented. I'll get a couple of videos tonight as well. Wed, Th, Fri, I'm working as a tech, so that should keep my mind off it, too. And who knows, maybe I'll find out soon enough and not have to work that Friday! In our state you can't work below the level of your liscence.

Rachel, thank you. You are a real support, and I appreciate that. I L'dOL when you said you were up at 4 am on this newsgroup. You're right: I'm sure you passed, and not at all sure I passed. That's F***** up. (Actually, I think it's spelled F******, but what's an asterisk?). I'm going to rent a movie or two, work, and this afternoon I'm going sailing (my wife and I try to sail once a week). I feel a little better now after exercising and reading your post (and the others above). I think I can start to let it go now. I hope you can, too. Just think, soon we'll be one of those irritating people who come on here and say: "I just got my results, I passed!!! I'm now an RN!!! I'm free of worry and I'm happy!!!" (Just kidding; I really am glad for those folks--I just hate them out of jealousy and want to be them.).

I have this pile (actually, I've put it all in a closet now, in a pile). All my folders of all my notes, several thousand flash cards I made for all the different tests in nursing school. 4 NCLEX study books, etc. If I pass, when I pass, I'm going to burn the lot of it in a big bonfire on the fourth of July. Where I live you can have open fires (you can have child with your sister, too, but that's beside the point). The fact is, I won't ever need them again. If I study for my CCRN or ACLS, I'll have to make new and different flash cards. If I want to know about a drug or d/o, I'll look it up in one of my text books or drug guide or the internet.

I'm still waiting for my ATT and have had a haunting feeling: "what if I fail?"

I finally got the yellow post card from my BON, but instead of saying that I would receive my ATT shortly, it said they didn't have my other transcripts. They want my transcripts from colleges and courses that had nothing to do with my nursing program. I wish I would have realized this sooner.

Hi

I think that you got the triage question correct- I studied emergency stuff for the boards and there is a specific order that you treat patients in a disaster and the ones who have the least chance of surviving (I.e fixed pupils, "dead in the bed") are treated last. I passed at 75 questions and I was convinced that I failed so all of you guys hang in there cause you probably passed. Also, I was angry and depressed the day after and was mean to my family for no reason just the anxiety. Hang in there!

That is strange. I would have thought they'd only be interested in the transcript from the NS that said you graduated with your degree in nursing.

What I think makes it more strange, it's only a LPN certificate program. The other schools are where I earned credits in Intermediate Algebra and General Chemistry, not required for the PN program.
