The TEAS V is really hard for me, scored 80% on math, 67% on reading, 58% on science, 70% on English usage part. I applied to several nursing schools: TWU, UT Houston, Sam Houston State (did not get accepted in these schools), and Texas State (late deadline in June and still waiting for their response). I did better on Hesi, scored 92% on math, 60% on biology, vocabulary and Anatomy, 76% on Chemistry, 84% on Grammer. I do really outstanding in every class since Pre-K. I do not think I will never get into a nursing school. My GPA is 3.7 and english is my primary language, I really hate this entrance test. I do not know what to do anymore, I want to give up on nursing and it has always been my dream to be a nurse.

Don't feel down I felt the same way you did 2 yrs ago. Have you ever considered completing an LPN program? From there you could do a bridge program.

The Teas is hard. Don't feel bad. I'm still in disbelief when people score 92's on this test. The average at my school is a 58. So either the test is really hard or yeah.. the test is really hard. Are you able to retest and apply again next semester? I know this isn't ideal, but hang in there!

When can you take it again? Was the low score due to material you have forgotten, or never learned, or was it due to time management or test anxiety? Answers to those questions may help you decide that your scores this time are not the end of the world.
Good luck if you take it again!

Don't give up or say never. Just look at the areas where you are weak on and study those. I received a 72 on the TEAS V while my schools average was in the high 80s. Granted everything else on my application next to perfect and competive. I doubted that I'd get in with a 72 but I was accepted to the BSN program and they only accept 30. For my BSN program you only need a 67 adjusted score but most people score above that. What was your adjusted score? You didn't really tell us if you failed it or you weren't happy with it. Based off your post, since you have applied to schools you were eligible to, but maybe your score wasn't as competitive. Of course you need to get a passing score but there are other factors schools look at then just your TEAS score. Just study and do better next time, you'll get in.

The schools you are applying to might just be too competitive for you to get into. Perhaps you need to look at non-competitive application schools where as long as you have certain minimum scores, you get in. It's not worth holding out for certain schools if you never get in. Once you have your BSN from whatever school (and pass your NCLEX of course), then you are in the field. Don't get caught up on specific schools.

The TEAS is hard, there's so much material on it but you can do this!!! You might have to re-take it, but now you know what's on it so get some good review books and study, study, study!!! I got a 72 overall and still got into a program that only takes 30 out of 350+ applicants. Don't give up, and never say never!!! Besides, you may get that acceptance letter after all :) There must be other programs you can apply to, right. I'm assuming that the schools you listed are very competitive, just apply to every possible program...GOOD LUCK TO YOU and don't give up
