I want to be an Air Force Nurse

I spoke to the recruiter in my state (Virginia). He informed me that the Air Force is not "hiring" nurses for this fiscal year. They apparently have met their quota. Just want to know if anyone else had been given the same information. He said I could call him back in about six months when they will begin working on the 2012 applicants:crying2:

well, if this is something that you really, really want, stay informed. contact your recruiter again when it's time. don't give up.

This is true...I was in the process of working on my application and was just informed today they arent taking new nurses BUT there is a board for NTP scheduled april 5th...there is a chance this will be cancelled as well tho
