I could swear that I spoke to a representative from the Nursing Department at Nassau Community College and that person had said that PED 251 Family & Human Sexuality could be used as an elective but I can't find it in the College Catalog.
My GPA with the A in PED 251 brings my GPA to a 3.51, without it is a 3.46. The 3.46 may not be enough to get me in to the program =(. I haven't been able to sleep all night thinking about this =(. I can't believe this is happening =(.

Hi!
I go to NCC as well. Though I have never taken the class I am pretty sure it can be used as an elective. It should be in the catalog by the gym classes.
Did you apply to the program yet? I applied for the Fall semester. I should hear something by next week.
Good luck!

My advisor has to sign off on my schedule before I can take anything. Give them a call Monday and check. Good luck!
I just got an e-mail from the Chairperson and they do not accept Child Development as an elective, they only accept what the school designates as a Humanities Elective. This now moves me down to priority 2 =(.

I'm sorry you are going through this. It is horrible to have your chances for this Fall boil down to one class. Mine apparently boiled down to two so I know how you feel.
If you do not get into this Fall, how are your chances for the next Admissions? I assume you will have the time to knock out the correct elective by the next admissions cycle. In any case, know you are not alone and GOOD LUCK on being admitted this Fall.
I will most likely add 3 a's to my gpa. I am going to get two a's this semester and I hope I could manage an A in ceramics but you never know hehe. My GPA at the moment is a 3.46 without my last two humanities electives and child development. I hope the 3.46 gets me in, I really do not know if I could wait another 11 months to reapply =(.
I can't believe how much one piece of paper means to so many.
Keeping his fingers crossed in NY.
