I am REALLY enjoying this semester, our psych rotation, and I really think I will do that once I graduate...My first degree's minor was psychology and I knew I'd like psych nursing when I got to it, but I had NO idea I'd love it like I do...I love seeing the patients' faces light up when I come in, and I love watching them go from not wanting to talk to me at all to asking when I'm coming back and how happy they are to talk to someone.
The nurses on the ward are fantastic, and eager to help us students find what we need, and they go out of their way to answer questions, or introduce us to patients. I even got to witness what they call a 'takedown' and they did it so smoothly and so quickly, and nobody was hurt, and the patient was fine after a little while.
I could go on forever but I won't LOL...I LOVE psych nursing! :)

That's great that you found something you really enjoy! My dh thinks I'll love psych too so I'm leaving my options open and we'll see what strikes me when I do my clinical rotations.
