I am taking A&P "Risk Free" at Ocean County College

Published

i am going to try posting this to the dl section.

i am taking an online anatomy and physiology course entitled "anatomy & physiology for the allied health care professional online" at ocean county college in toms river nj as a continuing education course before i jump into the deep end of the pool and take it for credit. it is the killer course for pre-nursing students and many do not make it into the program because of their poor grades in a&p.

it was suggested to me that i try this a&p "lite" course and then i would have a great background for taking the a&p i and a&pii for credit. this course does not have a lab but should give me a quick overview that i can build on.

i took ocean county colleges medical terminology i and ii through continuing education online and loved it. this is the snail approach but i hope to build up my confidence taking the easy courses online before i take the more difficult nursing pre-requisite courses. i am taking my other college credit pre-requisite nursing courses now so taking this a&p "lite" course will be a help for the next step.

i know i am taking baby steps but it is a while since i was in school. if i blow the course, it doesn't show on a transcript because it's continuing education not for credit. i would rather spend just a few extra bucks just so i can hit the ground running with a&p. has anyone started out this way? i love taking it because i work a full time job and could go to school two or three days a week at this point.
