should I take the job?

Posted

Ive been working at a hospital as a per diem cna for a year. I've been working day shift 2 days a week for the past few months. Yesterday I had an interview at another hospital for a clinical partner position. I think I did okay on the interview. Id love to work at the hospital, but am worried I wont be able to handle it. It is a full time nights position, and I am currently in my last year of my BSN program. I have leadership, public health, case management, and preceptorship left in my program. The floor I interviewed for would give me a lot more exposure to a wider range of patients and conditions.

In september, I will have class 3-4 days a week, so technically, I could manage, but I would be really tired. In addition, I work 2 jobs to support myself through school, but am finding that I still do not make enough. If I got this job, I would give up one job, but am hesitant to give up my other hospital job.

Pros:

More experience and exposure

I love the hospital

More secure job

Great benefits

Cons:

1 hour commute

Full time nights

Can anyone give me some advice? Thank you!
