after taking my last test (HD 2 aka NC5) that was also a RETAKE because I failed it a few months back. I still have the focused clinical thing to do but it's not ready so this was it before I go register for the CPNE...
So I get to the test center as confident as can be but also as nervous as can be. I hand over my license and had this smile on my face knowing I had prepared and would pass. The pearson vue lady was like.. "What test are you hear for again? Excelsior?" I'm was like "yeah, at 12:30" then I see her frown which immediately took the smile off my face. She says " I don't see you in the system are you sure it was today?" At this point, I was trying to remain calm so I said "yes it was aug 6th at 12:30, I had to reschedule from my original date of Aug 1st because I didn't feel ready then" She says hold on and calls up some person. That person tells her that I was a no-show for Aug 1st and I would have to call Excelsior to reschedule. So I said, "if I call my husband and have him fax over the confirmation e-mail from you guys saying it was today, can I take it?" She said "no you'd have to deal with excelsior"
I said thanks and walked out, turned on my cell phone and had a meltdown in the parking lot while venting to my husband. After I calmed down, I drove back home (the HOUR AND A HALF DRIVE with tears and all and $50 in gas out the window). I call EC and they said it was a system screw up, I was right so they are refunding me the difference. Ok that's great that I'm getting my money back for something I paid and scheduled but how about my time, stress, driving $$, and the fact I have to reschedule and this center's only dates seem to be about 6 weeks out. This was my LAST test before I could submit CPNE paperwork and I'm so ticked off and now I'm delayed another several weeks.

Sooooo sorry to hear. Just go in and take the test and do your best. You are better than me because I would have called EC while I was there and something would have had to happen. However, I always feel every disappointment is for the better so just study harder for when you do take the exam. BEST OF LUCK!

Is there any other testing center you can get to sooner? Even if it's a few hours drive, to go to a diff. center, at least you could get it done with.
Sorry you had to go thru this... I nervously had to reschedule several tests as well but they all worked out.
You could always ask EC about gas reimbursment... maybe they'd spring for it if you reminded them it was their F-up.
Best of luck to you

Don't forget everything happens for a reason, and God works in his own ways to give us what we need. Reschedule that test and take the time to review. Best of luck!

What a let down. I would keep checking with the test center, explain the situation and asked to be called if a closer date becomes availible, then ckeck thier site daily.

Dang it--I'd be so torked off, too. I don't know what else to say but dang it. You'll knock it out next time when you can take it again. Keep checking the Pearsonvue website--sometimes dates that weren't available before will become available. More than that, call the location--sometimes when the testing center that I went to was "full," half the seats were empty.
I'm sorry this happened to you. I can't imagine...
UPDATE:
I got to take the test 1st thing this am and PASSED with an A.. now onto the CPNE!
Rock on you! Now for the wait....
