I had only 85 questions on my boards............... I don't know if I passed!

Published

I took it this morning at 8:00 after changing it several times, originally was going March 13, 2009 but decided that I could no longer be chicken, went this morning, still a blur, I am scared :bugeyes:what if I am that one that does not pass! A lot of check all that applies, couple diet questions, no math, a lot of question on Viagra, teaching patient etc. I feel so sick to my stomach, was it wrong to change the date? how soon can I apply to take it over again :cry: . I was hoping it would stop at 85 but know I don't know, of my class of 45 student maybe 10-15 have taken and passed, majority to 85 question, yes and a couple had odd number like 205,117 and 92 questions and still all passed. I went home and I googled one question or 1/2 a dozen that I remebered and was unsure of and got wrong, I think! what does that say if you get the eay ones wrong? I read some where that maybe 10 questions don't get counted is that true or false?:o:o:o i am literraly depressed beginning to think it was wrong to change my date, I graduated 12/18/2008. did kaplan, davis, pearson and lippcott review, questions from book and disk. I lived and breathed it hopefully god is on my side because I really need this, please pray for me!

Did anybody guess on the exam as well, can't remember how many times, I did that!

I live in Florida so I will get my result by Thursday morning, I guess that is one good thing about it

More than likely you passed...Its a progressive test so if you passed more difficult questions that excused you from more questions. check your BON website tomorrow and the results should be up.

best of luck...

Don't worry too much. I remember when I took my LPN boards. I walked in there confident (I studied the night before only, but had no worries). Mine shut off at 86...I was a wreck. I called my mom and told her...I either passed with flying colors or failed miserably. I cried , rolled over questions in my head :uhoh3:...was out of my mind. I already had a job. What do I do if I don't pass...all of that (let's just say there was a fair amount of alcohol consumed while waiting for those results ). Well needless to say I did pass, not a problem.

When I went on for my RN, it shut off at 92, I didn't sweat it because of my previous experience, I passed then as well (and I am not so much a studier, critical thinking is a wonderful thing).

Don't sweat it, I'm thinking you did fine, besides it is what it is, giving yourself an ulcer isn't going to change anything.

Relax, kick back with some friends and just remember...you did make it all the way through nursing school so something had to stick !!!

You'll be fine! I was so nervous when I took mine that I got sick to my stomach. I have never done that before! I, too, got cut off at 82 questions, and I was SURE that they could not have determined after that many questions that I knew what I was talking about. I felt like I was so uncertain on so many of the questions! EEK! It makes me nervous just thinking about it again, but the chances are VERY good that you passed. Hey, here's the good news- I took my exam the day before I flew out to a remote village in Alaska to work- with my husband, my dog, and everything I owned. So if I didn't pass, I would have been up a creek! But I did, and so, I predict, will you!!

We're in the same boat. I took my boards yesterday for my RN and it shut off at 84. I keep going over and over nclex questions in my head thinking if I answered it correctly. I had a couple of meds questions I haven't even heard of. But it's weird, it didn't seem tricky or hard to me. It didn't feel like it's the hardest test ever like most people feel after the test. I guess God is on my side that day. I hope I pass. I'm in California and I'll find out Thursday. Good luck to you and I'm sure you pass
