OB nursing is a general term that can mean different things to different people. If you like dealing with women and babies, there are so many options. There are nurses who work in all of the following places:
- outpatient Ob-gyn or women's health clinics
- gynecology units in the hospital
- antepartum units (for moms who have problems during pregnancy)
- labor and delivery (where babies are born)
- postpartum units (where moms go after delivery)
- newborn nursery (where healthy-looking babies go after delivery)
- neonatal intesive care (where the sick babies go)
- mother/baby units (a unit on some hospitals where moms and healthy babies can be together after childbirth)
I'm sure I'm even missing a few.

You probably want to be a nursery/NICU nurse then. I would suggest you try and find a nurse to shadow and see how things are done. If you know any nurses, try and network and get together with a nurse who works in a nursery or NICU and see for yourself what they do.
Also, you could try shadowing in a pediatrician/family nurse practioner's office and see what is done there.
Good luck to you!
