god is sooo great! i couldn't have done it without him. i found out i passed yesterday on birthday. what a gift huh!! thanks everyone for your prayers and words of encouragement. i love allnurses.com! :heartbeat
all the myths about the nclex are false!! i'm a walking example of that. i stopped on an odd number (173), and i positively got the last question wrong. so it really doesn't matter, and you really will not know until you get your results.
this was my second attempt. i failed horribly the first time @ 75 q. so if anyone is feeling discouraged, and feel like you will never pass after you fail, keep on trying. please. if i can do it, anyone can. i recommend doing suzanne's plan (thanx!!!), and buying "prioritization, delegation & assignment" it helped me bundles. and i also reviewed kaplan's book " nclex-rn strategies for the registered nursing licensing exam" it shows you "how" to answer the questions.
another thing i did was wait before i took the test. i took the test the first time in october, so you see, i waited a little over 3 months. don't try and rush to take the test again after you fail. take a little time off.
i hope these words were helpful to someone. you made it through school, you can make it through the test, maybe it's just time to try a different strategy. you have to find what works for you. everyone learns differently.:)

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I failed at my first attempt when i took it 1/14, 265 questions. I plan to take it again the end of March. I am in the process of using Suzanne's plan. I feel so much better to know there is hope.
There's always hope, especially for you. You failed @ 265 which means you were sooo close. I failed at 75, soooo far from passing, lol. And if I did it, you definately can. Remember to try and get those books I mentioned, you won't regret it. Good luck!

As soon as I started reading your message I started to ball, All I want to do is cry cry cry!!!! I failed the nclex in september right around 83 questions. Thing is i felt good leaving; thought i had it in the bag. Well I just took them again today and it stopped at I think 150 questions. I am so scared more of letting my friends and family down than for myself failing. Everyone is sooooooo supportive but it still make me feel like such a loser. Like I have waisted so much time and money. Anyway I just related to your story so i wanted to reply to you. That is so awesome you passed, i can't wait for that feeling, to be an RN. CONGRATS!!!!!
