My name is on the board of nursing this morning...I passed! The pvt still works!
I graduated in March 2014. I purchased Kaplan online demand and LaCharity PDA. I did most of the PDA. I had a hard time focusing on the Kaplan. I got very bored with the videos and didn't even watch some. However, I feel like the question trainers helped me pass. Here are my scores:
Dx: 62
Qt1: 56
Qt2: 63
Qt3: 60
Qt4: 61
Qt5: 58
Qt6: 59
Qt7: didn't take
Readiness: 61
I was so worried about my scores. Finally I said forget it. It is what it is. So, about the nclex-rn. It took me 5 hours and I got about 250 questions. Last time I looked at the screen it was 250 but I know I didn't get to 265. I got about 5 math problems, lots of sata and prioritization. A few drag and drop and one exhibit.
If I could give anyone advice, it's to know your lab values, infection control (your isolations and what diseases go with them, also who can share rooms), and prioritization. I would say that was the majority of my test, at least that's what I remember.
Good luck to you all!!
