I Failed nclex last december I'm devastated and I don't know how to go about it and start all over again. I also used saunders book and practice exams on the computer i memorized it from cover to cover, I studied very hard and thought I was ready for nclex. Saunders was very easy compared to the actual nclex questions. I was not able to finish the exam because my time run out. I got the results and my grades in all categories are near average. After reading this I became hopeful that I can pass the second time around. Thank's so much for sharing your story. Congratulations!!!

I am a living proof of failing with the minimum and then passing with the minimum!! It is POSSIBLE! I didnt go in confident, I thought for sure, 100% I was going to fail again, but maybe this time in the 200s because I was doing kaplan so much more challenging questions. I proved myself wrong and suprised my whole family! If I can do it, so can YOU!!! I hope my story helps others who are struglling. Last but not least, I WANT TO THANK THIS SITE!! I found so much useful information on this site, and everybody was so supportive when I failed my first time! And ofcourse to God, I am very Thankful to Him!!! :yeah::yeah::yeah:

OMG you sound like my twin!@ I swear the only things different in the story is I did not do the NSBN (whatever) site, got to 75 questions and failed, and I HAVENT taken my 2nd NCLEX yet...... Thankyou for posting this... I am working EXTRMELY HARD with kaplan:redbeathe and have learned from my Saunders mistakes:crying2:

I appreciate the words of wisdom and the postive attitude... I am extremely nervous and I am working so hard... Please pray for me :o I take my NCLEX in the beginning of October and I want to print out that sheet and be so happy :redbeathe ... I hope I can keep you updated

(and the reason I did not post my story is because seriously this whole post is my exact story!@!!@!!@!)

My tools were

1 mosby-RN

2 Lacharity

3 sanders iphone app- for on the go questions

4 I read the Kaplan book the one they give you in the class, my friend let me borrow it.

5 infection mneumonics

I read over the leadership ATI and the random facts thread in here.

Anyways, congratulations to you, all your hard work has paid off! Wooohoo!!!

If I could break down to you, the most effective way to study, I'd say:

Choose a topic, medsurge, peds, whatever

Do the sunders questions on the subject, see how you do

After so, read over the same subject on a review book.

After reading over take LaCharity plus either Kaplan or mosby questions on that subject and you will know wheter you got it or still need to review!

It takes 2 to 3 days to do this process on each subject and if you follow it through, consider your self as sharp as a scalp knife! You'd be ready to slice the NCLEX like butter!
