I passed the Nclex March 8, 2014

Published

Hi, everyone! I would just like to share my story on how I passed the NCLEX-RN. I took it last March 8, 2014. I finished the whole 265 questions.

At the time I was reviewing my NCLEX, I was a full-time student at a University (DeVry) with a minimum units of 12 per sem taking a different course-- HC insurance management, I worked 13-hours/day, 7x a week (since I also have other sidelines). My exam ended at 265 items. I answered a total of 5227 questions. And read the rationales: 5,027 questions.

I only used two books which were the Saunders comprehensive review 5th edition, and Kaplan strategies, practice and review 2014-2015.

For the Saunders, I only read 10% of the book content. I focused on the CD questions.

For the Kaplan SPR, I read the book once and answered all the chapter quizzes and the practice test. I didn't enroll to a review center since It won't fit my schedule anymore.

Try to use the Kaplan SPR as the final assessment. Make sure to get 65% and above on the chapter quizzes and 70% or more on the practice test. There is a greater chance for you to pass the NCLEX. (check my kaplan scores at the bottom).

Tips: just keep on answering questions as many as you can, and read and understand the rationale by heart. Watch youtube videos if you don't know the topic or research it on the net immediately.

Congrats RN! :D :nurse:
Thank you very much! Pure hardwork. I didn't expect to pass because of my very tight schedules.

More power and God bless!
