I just graduated, passed nclex, and have my first job. I would appreciate any advice, on things like time management, tips for professionalism, products that are good to use, brain book development, portfolio management, anything!!! Thanks in advance.

The best advice I have is to follow the golden rule: Always treat your patients as you would want to be treated, whether on not they are confused, whether or not anyone else is looking, whether you will get credit or not, etc. As far as time management, always ask yourself, "what is the priority?" You will absolutely get quicker with tasks as you go along. Always dress professionally, regardless of whether the policy requires it.

Never be afraid to ask questions. Make sure you get a good orientation if after your orientation you feel you need more orientation speak to your nurse manager. Ask you fellow nurses that you work for for any advice or any questions you may have.
Don't be afraid to speak to doctors, even ones who are aholes. That was my main issue as a new nures calling the docs and gosh I used to be so nervous.....
