Hello, I have been doing alot of research about Excelsior's LPN to RN program. It sounds good in that it is at my own pace, but from what I gather, it is not really a school. Are there any bridge programs that are online that have substantial clinical time (at local hospitals) that are really online classes? By online classes, I mean are there any that have schedules, teachers and such??? Please advise....

I would check with your local community colleges.. Or there is ISU's LPN to BSN. You can refer to the sticky in the forum for more information on that.

Excelsior is definetely a college.Brick and mortar to prove it. But it sounds like you wants clinicals and in that case Excelsior is not the right choice for you. Like someone mentioned, try your local community colleges or try ISU LPN-BSN. That program takes a long time to finish if you don't have Phase 1 and 2 completed. Also if there are no established clinical sites in your area, you have to work with someone at the college to try to establish a contract with a hospital or clinic to get you a preceptor. That takes time so plan accordingly.
