Hello there..
I dont know what am going to do...I need your help and suggestions...
I finished my BSN in the Philippines last 1995. Its been awhile and I think its been 14 years. I took the NCLEX on Feb.16 thru CABRN. I am not so sure if I pass or not. I think I failed. I didn't see my name in their website and its been more that 2 weeks, so its not a good sign. My papers are complete, am an immigrant here. And I've been in the US for almost 7 yrs.
Do you think that I need to go back to school here and enroll in the LPN program? Do I need to start all over again? My employer will pay for my school.
And there is one of the community schools in Mesa offered a program for foreign nurses for a year. After you finish the program you can take the NCLEX and if you pass, you still need to enroll a refresher course for 4 months, then take the TOEFL..
I don't know what am going to do...
Thank you very much and your suggestions are highly appreciated..
God bless..

I am a foreign student too. I finished my BSN in Philippines 2008. Im currently living in Texas and been here for 7 months. I took NCLEX-RN Feb 25 and luckily I passed (found out after 2 days with Quick results) and my name and license number were posted at Texas BON site (they just posted today after a week).
I have heard that exam results in California really takes long. You cant tell if you pass/fail unless you receive your letter from them. Try to think positive...
I would not encourage you to go to school for an LVN program because you already finished your BSN. its just a matter of passing NCLEX rather than going back to school.
Since you are able to take NCLEX, it just means you are eligible to be an RN. dont give up. im sure you can make it.
God bless to you...:wshgrt:
Thanks Heavensent I appreciate it..

I too suggest you wait for your results and even if you have failed concentrate on passing RN as that is what you went to school for. Hang in there

Don't make any decisions about anything until you find out your results. The CA BRN site is now saying that it is taking longer than four weeks for results to be available so you need to wait a little longer. Good luck.
