Im am a paramedic going through excelsior to get my RN. I was wondering what the best way was to get the english comp requirement out of the way. I have seen several different avenues but was unable to find any recent postings and im not sure what has changed. I also need 6 humanities credits. Trying to figure out what is going to be the quickest way to obtain these. Thanks for any help!

Im just trying to figure out which one to do. I heard they dont take the CLEP anymore. According to excelsior you only need to 3 credit english comp but the clep exam is 6. Ive heard people talking about straighterline. Do you know anything about that?

I know a lot of folks have used Straighterline for A&P with success, and I'm pretty sure EC accepts Straighterline courses for credit ... it might be better than a CLEP anyway!

Thank you! I have the 6 humanities credits and the biology clep selected throuhg college network but I can change that. Anything else that you would recomend for those?

Just thought I would give my 2 cents. I used UExcel to complete my English requirement and then just took another 3 credit humanities. I scored a B on the English Comp through UExcel. I actually got my info from one of the counselors at Excelsior, they were extremely helpful. They also have information about UExcel on the Excelsior website. Good Luck.
